From the birth of this vision, it has been known that Knitted Collection is not solely a clothing store or a fashion brand. We seek to operate as a place where organizations, non-profits, and businesses who are seeking to help all know their true value can be featured. Since before our release in August, we have been searching for an entity that reflects these values. It is our heart to identify, highlight and support such an organization for a 6 month time span. We have been setting aside the funds from 13% of every purchase made so far and will continue doing the same throughout the season of supporting this organization.
All of that being said, we are stoked to announce that we will be supporting Project Orphans!! (projectorphans.org)
After reviewing this non-profit and what it is all about, we learned that it sought to let others know of their value and tangibly and responsibly helps villages in Uganda. Project Orphans is not just an organization that provides for orphans (even though it would still be super cool if it only did!). This entity has provided a school, a medical clinic, a church, children sponsorships, and so much more. Project Orphans seeks to provide more than just the bare minimum or provide just enough to survive. It wants individuals to know their worth and their value. They are capable and they are loved by God.
